How to Find Vending Machine Locations: 5 Places to Research

Five types of properties to investigate, plus the questions to ask before deciding that a location is a good fit.

Updated September 7, 2026.

To find vending machine locations, start with a service area you can reach consistently and build a shortlist of properties with recurring users. Business type can guide your research, but it does not prove demand or guarantee a profitable placement.

Workplaces: Ask how many people are regularly on site, which shifts they work, and what food and drink options they already use. An office with many employees on paper may have a much smaller daily audience.

Warehouses and industrial sites: Look at shift patterns, break times, and access to nearby shops. Confirm that drivers can park and restock without interfering with the site’s operations.

Apartment properties: Ask about occupied units, common-area access, and whether residents would pass the proposed machine during their normal routine. Speak with property management about permission and building rules.

Gyms and recreation facilities: Learn about attendance patterns, staffed hours, product preferences, and existing retail offers. Discuss whether drinks, snacks, or suitable non-food essentials would serve the audience.

Healthcare and hospitality properties: Staff, guests, and visitors may have different needs and access restrictions. Confirm placement policies and product requirements with the responsible manager.

For every prospect, check available space, power, connectivity, delivery access, existing vending contracts, and the person authorized to approve an agreement. Compare likely demand with your travel, stock, equipment, and service costs.
