How Smart Vending Machines Work: Tap, Grab, and Go
What shoppers do at a smart vending machine, how the door-and-reader flow works, and where to get help.

Smart vending gives shoppers access to products behind a door instead of asking them to select a slot number. At the Smart Mart machine shown in our demo, you tap an accepted payment method, open the unlocked door, take your items, and close the door fully. The machine identifies what was removed and processes the purchase.
Start at the reader. Follow its instructions and check the payment methods shown there. Do not assume that every machine accepts the same cards, wallets, or apps. Smart Mart Leads and Ops are business tools for operators; shoppers do not need them to buy a snack.
Once the door unlocks, open it and choose your items. Close the door when you finish, then follow any final instructions on the reader. The exact payment display and receipt process can vary by machine and payment provider.
Contactless payment refers to how you present your card or wallet. Shopping still involves opening the door and handling products. Clear instructions and a reachable service team matter as much as the technology.
